Ray Murry received his J.D. degree in May 2001 from Loyola University School of Law while on active duty with the United States Coast Guard. He retired with 20 years of service from the US Coast Guard in June 2002 and began practicing law. In the Coast Guard, C. Ray was a boatswain’s mate and spent his time in the maritime service on a variety of different vessels, such as a Polar Ice Breaker, USCGC Polar Star; a working river boat, USCGC Chena; a variety of Search and Rescue boats from Corpus Christi, TX to Charlevoix, MI and graduated from the prestigious USCG Heavy Weather Coxswain School.  Mr. Murry has practiced in the areas of criminal prosecution, maritime personal injury and workers compensation insurance defense.  C. Ray Murry became a sole practitioner on June 1st 2003 and has since focused his practice, by representing injured workers whether under the Jones Act, General Maritime Negligence, LHWCA and Louisiana State Workers Compensation.  C. Ray speaks Spanish and has limited knowledge of the German language.

Shannon Cambridge Lindsey is the owner of Shannon Cambridge Lindsey, Attorney At Law, LLC. She is of counsel to C. Ray Murry, Attorney At Law, LLC, whose offices are located in Slidell and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She focuses her practice on representing injured workers under the Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Act, Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act, and Jones Act. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005 from Duke University, in Durham, North Carolina, and she received her Juris Doctorate degree in 2009 from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana, with a Certificate in Civil Law Studies. She is the current President of the Louisiana Workers’ Advocates (the Louisiana chapter of the National Workers’ Injury Law & Advocacy Group), an association of attorneys who represent workers’ compensation claimants. She represents professional athletes as a member of the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) Workers’ Compensation Panel. She is also a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the Louisiana Association for Justice, and the American Bar Association. On August 26, 2016, she was appointed by Governor John Bel Edwards to the Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council, representing Public Service Commission District 1. Experienced in trial and appellate litigation, legislative drafting, and administrative rule promulgation, she is often invited to share her comprehensive knowledge of workers’ compensation law through lectures focusing on a variety of topics, including legislative and jurisprudential history, outcomes, and trends.

Amber Murry Stephens was born into a military family in Landstuhl, Germany and had the pleasure of living throughout the United States. She graduated from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette (ULL) in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and a minor in Latin American Studies. She was a member and President of the ULL Chapter of the National Spanish Honor Society, Sigma Delta Pi, Alpha Rho Chapter. Amber interned for C. Ray Murry, Attorney at Law, LLC while attending both undergraduate and law school. In 2014, Amber received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans, College of Law graduating cum laude as a William L. Crowe, Sr. Scholar. While in law school, Amber received the CALI, Excellence for the Future Award in Contracts and Torts during her first year of law school, and subsequently received the Law Excellence Award in Law and Poverty and Negotiable Instruments. Amber was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in October 2014 and the Mississippi Bar in September 2015. Amber has experience through all stages of litigation, including motion practice, court appearance, preparing clients for testimony, deposition, mediations, trial and even successfully arguing on behalf of her client at the Louisiana 1st Circuit Court of Appeal. In her local community, Amber serves as a Broad Member of the Olde Towne Slidell Main Street Board which helps to promote arts and business in local historic districts and the East St. Tammany Chapter of the Emerging Young Professionals.
